If you are using standard hydrometers to BS 5470, the BSI Kitemark on your hydrometer is an assurance of quality, accuracy, and reliability.  It means that conformity to the standards is monitored and samples are independently tested by BSI.  It means you can be certain of the basic accuracy of the hydrometers without having to send them off to be calibrated.
